Log Analysis

MQBapp gives both vehicle owners and tuners access to comprehensive, technical log review that helps turn raw data into actionable decisions. Designed specifically for MQB-platform VW and Audi vehicles, the log review service focuses on clarity, accuracy and practical recommendations so you know exactly what changes are needed to optimise performance and reliability.

What the logger view covers*

  • Engine performance metrics: boost (manifold and turbocharger readings), air/fuel ratios, ignition timing, MAP/MAF behaviour, fuel trims and torque demand vs actual torque.

  • Turbo and charge system: turbo speed, vane positions (if applicable), compressor bypass behaviour, boost leaks and wastegate activity.

  • Fuel system health: injector pulse widths, fuel rail pressure (where available), pump command, and cylinder balance.

  • Combustion and knock analysis: knock event identification, timing retard patterns, and the likely causes (fuel quality, timing, overboost, hot spots).

  • Transmission & TCU interactions: torque requests vs delivered torque, clutch slip (DSG/DSG-type), shift adaptation behaviour, converter lockup events, and temperature trends.

  • Sensors and actuators: consistency checks for MAF, MAP, O2/UEGO sensors, throttle body response, cam and crank correlation, and any sensor dropouts or implausible readings.

  • Thermal and durability factors: intake and coolant temps, oil temp trends (if logged), and conditions that may promote detonation or component stress.
